Awarded 'Event Organiser of the Year' at the Event Industry Awards 2006, 2007 and 2009 Mike has over 15 years of experience within the industry. Initially from a sporting background Mike paved a career in local authority and with the International Festival of The Sea before founding his own companies, Richmond Event Management and The Event Safety Shop. He has been responsible for a host of large public events and balances his skills as a leading operational specialist with the creative and unique thinking of REM. Whether that be co-ordinating site management, logistics, production, design, and health and safety or more often than not these days representing clients at Event Control or Silver meetings.

In his spare time he is still Managing Director of the International Festival of The Sea, or he works within skills development for young people in the industry. He is driving the companies BS8901 accreditation and continues to aim high in quality assurance and development of staff.
