Event Management

Is it an art or a science? We think it is a bit of both – an artful science if you like. To be more precise it encompasses, assessment, definition, acquisition, allocation, direction, control, analysis of time, finance, people, products, services and other resources. With added deadlines, weather considerations and various last minute spanners in the works. We also like to add in the fact that it should be enjoyable.

Working in close partnership with our clients is very much at the heart of all REM project planning and allows a dynamic, progressive and solution based relationship. We do not work on a basis of open-ended time management and day rates, our costings and management fees are based on our understanding of what is required to ensure that whatever is needed is delivered effectively within the agreed budget and specifications. We assign a dedicated Project Manager for each event and this person works hand-in-hand with the client to ensure that the event meets all expectations.

The project manager will work with a designated team who are picked because of their particular and sometimes peculiar skills. The project manager is responsible for communicating with the client via a number of pre- agreed reports which means that at any time all the elements of the event can be reviewed and acted upon as required.

Once on site, the production team take on the running of the project and the show is delivered. After that, we encourage a de-brief and feedback process from all concerned. Sounds simple – doesn’t it? It isn’t always but it’s always worth doing well and then thinking about how it can be done even better.
