REM awarded Production Management of Thames Arts latest project!

REM are delighted to have been chosen by Thames Arts as Production Managers for their latest project, The Tree of Light.

The Tree of Light is one of four large-scale community celebrations in the UK to be funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity set up to create a cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games across the UK. The award recognises the exciting potential of this project which will ensure that new audiences will be developed and the excitement of the 2012 Games will be shared with many thousands of people at community level, in large scale regional events and as part of the 2012 celebrations in London.
 
Mike Richmond, Managing Director, commented “We are lucky to work on some amazing projects at REM, The Tree of Light is one of those ‘once in a life time’ events that will mark London 2012 along the Thames Valley.  We look forward to playing a significant part in this project”.
 
REM have already begun working with the team to produce three performances in Windsor Great Park, South Park Oxford and Stonor Park.  With up to 2,000 performers at each site and audiences of up to 10,000 The Tree of Light is set to be leave a lasting legacy for the people of the Thames Valley.
